In an attempt to avoid arrest by the authorities, the Nigerian artist known as Portable expertly flipped over a gate, surprising many social media users in the process.

Police reportedly showed up at the scene to take the singer into custody on suspicion of owing money for his G-Wagon.

After a brief conversation with the officers, Portable moved toward a gate behind him and quickly leaped over it to flee.

Portable’s luck ran out when the Lagos State Police Command arrested him on May 14 in response to a car dealer’s complaint.

According to reports, the artist paid a down payment of N27 million for a G-Wagon and received ownership of the car with an agreement to pay the rest of the amount. It is reported that Portable stopped communicating and postponed making the payment. When the dealer got in touch with him regarding the issue, Portable claimed the car had developed problems. The dealer asked Portable to return the vehicle or complete the payment, but Portable reportedly refused.

In response to the dealer’s report, Portable was taken into custody by the police. SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, confirmed the singer’s detention.

Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, is a talented musician who continues to captivate audiences with his distinct sound and lively performances. Portable gained fame with his hit song “Zazoo Zehh” and has become well-known not only in Nigeria but also abroad.

Although occasional disputes have overshadowed his career, Portable’s undeniable talent and resilience continue to attract new fans. He remains a prominent figure in the Afrobeats genre as he navigates the challenges of fame, and he promises more vibrant and energetic songs in the future.
