Sadio Mane, the former Liverpool player who now plays for Al Nassr, married Aisha Tamba in an Islamic ceremony on January 7 in Keur Massar, a neighbourhood of Dakar, Senegal. The couple’s union has drawn substantial attention, given Mane’s reputation as a multi-millionaire player earning an astonishing £650,000 per week.

Aisha, who comes from a poor family, lived in a low-income neighbourhood of Dakar, where her household housed about 30 relatives.
The dramatic contrast between her prior existence and the affluent lifestyle that comes with Mane’s success has not changed her determination to stay true to her roots.
