Nigerian singer Simi has stated that she never meant to marry a musician.

During an appearance on the ‘Tea With Tay’ podcast, the singer explained how she met her husband, Adekunle Gold.

Simi claimed she met Adekunle as a graphics designer and assumed he was a fan who had been waiting to connect with her on Facebook.
“When I met my spouse, I had no idea he was a singer because I had previously stated that I could not marry a singer. I assumed he was even a fan. He used to be the ‘King of Photoshop‘ at the time.

“He sent me a Facebook message, but I never noticed it or replied. “I had a feeling he would be good for me.”

Adekunle Gold got married to Simi in 2019
