Ghanaian recording artist Black Sherif, known for his unique blend of music genres, has released his highly anticipated track “Kilos Milos” today via RBA/Empire. After teasing the song on his social media accounts for weeks, it is now available on all major streaming services. “Kilos Milos” is receiving praise from fans and is generating attention in the music industry due to its catchy hooks and meaningful lyrics. This further solidifies Black Sherif’s position as one of the most promising musicians in Africa and suggests that the song could become another chart-topping hit.

Recognized for his distinct fusion of Afrobeat and hip-hop, Black Sherif never fails to captivate audiences with his clear lyricism. “Kilos Milos” showcases his versatility as an artist, with powerful verses layered over captivating production praised by Kwame Agger and Joker Nharnah. This release follows his well-received street anthem, “Shut Up.” Black Sherif has been hinting at the release of his second album, scheduled for later this year. Additionally, he recently won the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards for Best Hip-Hop and Hip-Life Artiste and headlined one of the largest festivals in Africa, Afrofuture. In 2023, he was ranked as the second-most streamed artist worldwide on Audiomack.

Black Sherif continues to defy expectations and open new avenues for African music to reach international audiences. His real name is Mohammed Ismail Sharif Kwaku Frimpong, and he was born in Konongo, a small town rich in minerals in Ghana’s Ashanti Region. Despite all odds, Black Sherif has become the biggest star in the nation. Showcasing his wordplay, storytelling, and linguistic skill, he blends Afrobeats, highlife, and Ghanaian drill while embracing a diverse musical palette. Black Sherif gained global recognition with the breakthrough hits “First Sermon” and “Second Sermon” in 2021, and “Kwaku The Traveller” elevated him to superstar status in 2022.

Since the release of his debut album, “The Villain I Never Was,” in 2022, Black Sherif has established himself as one of Africa’s most influential creative voices. He has also achieved significant global streaming figures, making him the most streamed Ghanaian artist of all time on Boomplay, a well-known African streaming platform, and the most streamed Ghanaian artist of 2022 and 2023 on Spotify. Black Sherif has become a key figure in promoting African music worldwide in record time.
