The National Democratic Congress’s parliamentary candidate for the Okaikoi Central constituency, Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu, who is also the founder of 3Music Networks, explained why Stonebwoy was absent at his April SallahFest event.

Sadiq mentioned that he finally managed to get in touch with Stonebwoy and his team on the evening of the event, after several unsuccessful attempts earlier that night. He told Joy FM’s Kwame Dadzie on Showbiz A-Z, “I’ve personally spoken to him and his manager, Chief, in the last few days. We reached out to them even on the day of the event. Despite making numerous calls and sending messages, we hoped that they would eventually respond and acknowledge our efforts to communicate with them.”

The ‘Baafira’ hitmaker was reportedly unhappy with Shatta Wale being added to the concert’s musician lineup, as per information relayed by Stonebwoy’s manager a few weeks before the event.

Sadiq also mentioned that he and Ricky were together, and since Ricky is his friend, he believes that Stonebwoy’s manager, Chief, had contacted him about some issues he had seen online and discussed them with him before they could talk about the Sallah event and their concerns. For instance, why was there no discussion of Shatta’s behavior after the event? “I think his point is that, although they would have liked to attend, they were uncomfortable with Shatta Wale’s inclusion.”
